Air service to the Bahamas varies seasonably, with the biggest choice of flights usually in the time between Christmas and Easter. Things can change substantially from year to year because flight carriers come and go, particularly in the Out Islands, which are served mainly by smaller commuters and charters.

The best way to reach an Out Island from outside the Bahamas is via a connection in Nassau. There are many flights per day to Nassau and usually one or two flights from Nassau to the Out Islands.
Southern Air flies also from Nassau to Governor's Harbour and North Eleuthera three times daily. Cherokee Air offers chartered flights from Marsh Harbour, Abaco to North Eleuthera.
Cherokee Air is the charter-plane service of choice for island-hopping to and from Abaco. Bahamasair flies daily from Nassau to Marsh Harbour and Treasure Cay on Abaco.
Bahamasair has daily flights from Nassau to George Town on the Exumas.
Several small airlines and charter companies have flights from Nassau or Freeport to the four airports on Andros: San Andros airport in North Andros, the Andros Town airport in Central Andros, the South Andros airport in Congo Town and the Mangrove Cay airport on Mangrove Cay.
Western Air has two flights per day from Nassau to each of the four Andros airports. Major Air has charter service from Freeport to all four Andros airport. Bahamasair offer also flight from Nassau to the Andros airports.
Western Air offers daily flights to Bimini from Nassau. There no flights offered by Bahamasair.
Bahamasair flies most days from Nassau to the two airports on Long Island: Deadman's Cay in the center and Stella Maris airport in the northern part of Long Island.
The remote Out Islands of San Salvador, Inagua, Crooked and Acklins islands have flights from Nassau several times a week offered by the national carrier.
